April Tour Date 4 - Luton S.U.

12 April 2008
band

This was a landmark gig for us - we've been looking forward to playing with TEXTURES since they first stayed with Acle after touring the UK 6 years ago. Finally playing with the band was the realisation of an ambition both bands had held since Stef Broks jammed Concealing Fate with TesseracT in 2007. In short, the gig was incredible. Our third show in Luton went down a storm, thanks to all of you that turned up and rocked out.

If you haven't seen Textures yet, you MUST COME TO THE MILTON KEYNES PITZ TONIGHT (13-04-08). Nuff said.

April Tour Date 3 - Weston-Super-Mare Hobbits

10 April 2008
band

An insane crowd made the Hobbits gig the best in the tour so far - you guys were up for it from the first track until the last note, and weston metallers know how to have a good time. Once the gig ended, the carnage started. Jaegermeisters all round, then £1 vodkas... you get the picture. We liked it so much we've already decided to come back - check here and our myspace for confirmation a gig in July.

April Tour Date 2 - Portsmouth Rifle

09 April 2008
band

We'll be honest - we turned up to this show and thought 'oh dear this is gonna be one of THOSE gigs' But wow, what a show! What an awesome crowd of hairswinging headbanging hard rocking groove heads filled the Portsmouth Rifle Club. It's sunny Weston-Super-Mare and the fantastic Hobbits night club next on the 10th April then the two TEXTURES support shows at the weekend which we are really looking forward to. If you're in Luton on sat 12th get down to the Student Union or in Milton Keynes on sunday the 13th then get down to the Pitz - these shows will be amazing!!!

April Tour Date 1 - Bracknell Cellar Bar
08 April 2008
band
band

The Cellar Bar in Bracknell is supposedly haunted. The toilets have a grusome history and the corridoor between the lifts and the venue are most definately a spooky place to be on your own. However with a heaving crowd and the loudest gig ever nobody seemed to worry about that. We apologise for all the crowd members that now have hearing problems but it was worth it. Its always a risk starting a new set with a brand new track but it went down a storm. We'll be posting a video clip of the new track at the end of the tour.

TesseracT corrupts the airwaves and motorways of the UK! Textures Support!! And Rocking it with a sock on it!!!

05 April 2008

Sorry no TesseracT photos with nothing but socks on cocks I’m afraid it just made a better headline :P

So a busy busy week,

First Abi and Mos were on The Wreckfast show with Matt from Outcryfire on Total Rock, which was a blast as we managed to get Bleed by Meshuggah (chooooon) played at 11am! Not many Radio stations are brave enough to do that hey! Then as if one session on Total Rock wasn’t enough TesseracT’s dulcet tones appeared again on the awesome Maz Star show The Danger Zone (Tuesdays 6-9pm GMT). Needless to say it was great fun and thanks to everyone who tuned in and joined in on the chatrooms. Total Rock is a great radio station and if you haven’t done so already go check it out right away!

http://www.totalrock.com

One radio station enough? Not for TesseracT! The April Song taken from the recent demo was made the BBC Radio One Rock Show Track of the Week. Awesome!!! The podcast will be available until Tuesday 8th and the whole show is still available online from the rock show website here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/rockshow/

So this was all in lead up to the string of live dates we have in April. Starting on the 8th TesseracT will be decimating the following towns:

April 8th – The Cellar Bar – Bracknell – with The Arusha Accord
April 9th – The Rifle Club – Portsmouth – with The Arusha Accord
April 10th – Hobbits – Weston-Super-Mare
April 11th – recover from hangover
April 12th – Luton SU – with TEXTURES
April 13th – The Pitz – Milton Keynes – with TEXTURES

Ending on such a good gig as the Pitz will be amazing so if you have plans cancel them and come down to what will surely be an unforgettable show.

The last few weeks have seen TesseracT working on a slightly new set introducing a new track and re-arranging the format so there’s even more reason to come down to one of the shows. April and May will see the band putting the finishing touches on Concealing Fate which is scheduled to be recorded in June or July. It will so be worth the wait guys as it is just getting better and better!

Once again more exclamation marks than needed but we live in exciting times.

Video, sleeping in cars, merchandise and Concealing Fate. Mos

06 March 2008
band

Here we are again post tour, and even though it was a mini, mini, mini tour we’re still battered and bruised, with more broken sticks, strings, skins and amps than a nirvana gig. Sharing the stage with the awesome Arusha Accord is no easy task, nor is trying to get some kip whilst those guys are still partying until dawn! We will be doing a larger tour during the summer with them, so make sure you get down to the shows as they are not to be missed.

We’ve uploaded a short video taken from one of the Luton SU show.  The gig was awesome, real special to us; one of those electric shows. It felt great to have loads of people nodding away and it was just as rammed side stage as it was front, thank you to all the bands on the bill and all the fans in the crowd – you rocked!

We are currently working on getting into the studio within the next 3 months to record the full EP known as Concealing Fate. 25 – 30 mins of pure reality ripping, dimension crossing, time warping TesseracT. We know it’s been a long time coming but we want to give it the time it deserves to make it a musical event. We'll be releasing a new website along with the EP and we're always on the look out for artwork so mail in any ideas you have!

T-shirts are now available to order online so head to the merch section to get your TesseracT Tee!
We will also be giving away stickers with all sales and at gigs very soon.

Thanks for your wonderful words and support up until now, it means so much to us. We look forward to meeting you in the mosh pit again soon.

Check out the new video from the Luton SU gig here!

In other news...Acle's been busy recording the album for Fell Silent which is finally nearing completion which means attention can be focused on recording the TesseracT EP very soon! We're planning to do the vocals for it at Sphere Studios and will be demoing drums in the mean time. Mos has been touring with Fightstar on guitar (lucky basted!!)

TesseracT Demo available to buy online!
06 November 2007

Full length songs? What’s going on!?

The demo that we've been selling at our recent shows is now available to buy online as a download only (if you want the actual CD you'll have to come to one of our shows! :p ) Visit our store section to purchase it!

Buy the demo here

We didn't think it was worth investing in CDs for a demo however CDs will be available for the EP upon its release. We're aiming to have the Concealing Fate EP ready in spring 2008, all being well! This should hopefully tie in with a two week tour around the UK with Cilice....maybe even some merch as well!

Back from the first mini tour!
21 October 2007

Just got back from the 5 days of gigging...absolutely knackered and everyone’s necks & spines are rusted. Had an awesome time and everything went really well and much better than expected!

Thanks for everyone who came to the shows and bought the 2 track demo. We're aiming to have the Concealing Fate EP out around late spring 08. We'll be tying this in with some more touring as well with the possibility of some European dates eventually.

There are some demos left over which will be available at the shows on the 28th of November @ Reading and 1st of December @ The Pitz Milton Keynes.

Also thanks to Harry who travelled with us as a sound guy (which proved to be a well needed asset with our over the top setup!)

We'll sift through some of the video footage and see if anything is worth uploading soon!

Overdue Update! New clip, Vocals and Shows!
18 September 2007

First off we've uploaded a section of Concealing Fate Part 1 with Abi singing! Finally a new fucking clip with vocals! We just recorded it at the rehearsal place to get some stuff down so let us know what you think! Sounds Page

Unfortunatly, Julien will not be playing as big a role on vocals as we had hoped due to personal reasons (plus the distance doesn't help!). We do plan however to work with him on songs in the future! We love his sexy french vocals too much to not work with him at all!

This leads us to hunt for a second singer/screamer to chant away with Abi. If you're interested and think you could add your own edge to the music then get in contact - acle@tesseractband.co.uk

TesseracT's first shows are coming up! Only took...4-5 years? These will be our first shows together as a band!

16th October - Bracknell, Cellar Bar
17th October - Wolverhampton, The Varsity
19th October - Luton, SU
20th October - Reading, Face Bar

1st December - Milton Keynes, The Pitz (Supporting Shai Hulud)

TesseracT Jam with Stef Broks
12 July 2007

Wooo a busy month for TesseracT! Finished writing another song which leaves part 5 of Concealing Fate to be finished, one of the new songs to be finished and we may create one more song with some of the riffs that are left over. All in all I think the album is going to sound quite varied, in a good way! We're planning to do some warm up shows later in the year before we start to think about recording the drums/final takes. Get really confident and solid with the songs.

We also jammed with Stef Broks, drummer of Textures last weekend which went really well. The focus was mainly on getting used to the songs and coming up with some groove/fill ideas which really adds so much to the music. We're still discussing how we can have both drummers involved on the album. One idea at the moment is to have Stef play Concealing Fate, and Jay play the remaining 4-5 songs. Having said all this, Jay is the TesseracT Drummer :)

We've put some video clips together of the jam. The sound quality is pretty dire but you get the idea! There are a few new riffs on the video as well!

We've also replaced the original Concealing Fate with how Concealing Fate Part 5 is sounding now...minus the outro which still needs to be written!

And finally for all of you, who reside in the UK , make sure you all go and pick up a copy of Tuned magazine! TesseracT has a feature in this month's issue. You can find it at HMV, Virgin, Borders, Fopp or www.tunedmagazine.co.uk

TesseracT Feature in Tuned Magazine

Make sure you pickup a copy of Tuned Magazine in July! There will be a feature on TesseracT which will be available from July the 13th. You can pick a copy up from HMV, Virgin, Borders, Fopp or visit www.tunedmagazine.co.uk

Also we should have a small surprise in store in a few months. Not a big surprise... but a surprise :)

Sunrise @ London Sphere Studios (with real drums!)
25 March 2007

What a studio! Eric clapton, Mariah Carey, Razorlight, Will Young \m/ have all recorded here. I knew the place must be good when I saw a Lambagini parked outside! Thanks to Mos we managed to get some time at Sphere Studios courtesy of Franc Cameli! We went in last week to record the drums and bass for Sunrise which went amazingly well. We may use this as a single to release soon before the album comes out which also is very close to completion!

We're going back soon to do the guitars and sort out the vocals. We may be doing the final mix on the same SSL mixer used by Andy Wallice to mix Nirvana's Nevermind, RATM and Jeff Buckley!

Check out the photos and video of the session in the media section.

As for the album, Concealing Fate and "November 2 idea" is now a massive 30 minute song. I just have to finish off Sunrise which is also going to have a sax part in it (on the album) and one or two other songs to finish off.

It's Alive!
30 October 2006

The basics of the Band are finally sorted! The line up is looking like Acle on Guitar, Metal (Aka Jim) on Guitar, Mos funking the bass and Jay on Drums. With some more practise, we should be jamming tighter than a nun. We recently had a jam session with Julien (Attila) on vocals which went really well - we may upload some samples of how it went.

We are still however interested in looking into a 3rd guitarist...or ideally an ambient style vocalist who can play guitar.

In other news I have quit my job which will give me a few months to focus on finishing the writing of TesseracT. The *ideal* (i cant stress that word enough) plan is too have the writing completed by spring/summer and maybe some warm-up shows in summer/autumn 07. Concealing Fate is currently around 15 minutes long, just needs some polishing up! I doubt ill post any clips until it is complete!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guitarists needed!
26 June 2006

We're looking for a 2nd (and eventually a 3rd) guitarist for TesseracT. The prime focus is sorting the backbone of the Band sorted while I finish writing. Then once the album is complete, 100% of the attention will be on getting it live. We have a couple of guitarists in mind but "trying out" as many as possible would be better.

Need a guitarist who is tight with a good sense of groove, good clean playing. Own transport would be ideal. Some big heff of an amp is always a good thing to have! Guitarists who like to pointlessly meedle and solo all the time need not apply (soulful meedlers are another thing, as long as you can chug!) Tight again.

We usually jam in the Reading area...possibly Milton Keynes in the future. So living near London, the southern half of England would probably be easier for everyone (however if you are up for travelling then go ahead!)

We're thinking of holding an "audition" in the middle of August.

New TesseracT Drummer - TesseracT live on the horizon
04 April 2006
Finally a drummer is found for TesseracT! Jay Postones will be the TesseracT live drummer and possibly recording drummer for any future recordings. We've had a a short jamming session which went really well! Just some more structures and 2nd/3rd guitarists to be sorted now! Members Page
